Description: Pikovskayas Broth (Medium), Granulated is recommended for detection of phosphate solubilizing microorganisms. Phosphate as calcium phosphate is present in the medium. The growth obtained in this medium may be detected for phosphate solubilization by sub culturing or spot inoculation on Pikovskayas agar. Phosphate solubilization is indicated as clearance around growth or colony. Product features: Form: White to light yellow colored granular medium. Color and Clarity of prepared medium: Whitish with flocculant precipitate opaque solution forms in tubes. Cultural Response: Cultural characteristics observed after an incubation at 35-37C for 48 hours.
